Photo Etched Pins

Photo etched pins are the “economy” line of lapel pins. They look similar to soft enamel pins, but are not as durable.

How are they made?
Your design is etched into the surface of the pin, using a chemical process similar to using film to produce a negative. This process creates raised and recessed areas on your pin, similar to a coin. Soft enamel paint is then filled into the recessed areas of your pin, then the pins are fired and polished. Epoxy coating is recommended to extend the life of these pins.

What is the difference between photo etched pins and the other types?
These pins are thinner than the other types, so they're not as durable.
